Nokia N97 - black (unlocked)
THE GOOD: The Nokia N97 features a touch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, and 32GB of internal flash memory. The smartphone also offers 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS and comes equipped with a 5-megapixel camera. THE BAD: The N97s touch user interface isnt well integrated and can be inconsistent and confusing, especially compared with the competition. We would have preferred a capacitive touch screen instead of resistive. THE BOTTOM LINE: While the Nokia N97 is packed with features and offers the freedom of an unlocked phone, its clunky touch interface, sky-high price tag, and outdated operating system make it hard to recommend when there are better touch-screen smartphones on the market.

The Nokia N97 is a touchscreen phone which slides open to reveal a small QWERTY keyboard. The screen can be angled, allowing the consumer to use the phone as a mini-computer to browse the web or write e-mails. The battery is capable of 1.5 days of audio playback or 4.5 hours of video, making it good for a movie every so often but not a device to rely on for long flight. It has A-GPS and 32GB of onboard memory along with a microSD expansion slot. The touchscreen is 3.5 inch and has a 16:9 aspect ration, 640 x 360 pixel. The price tag attached to the Nokia N97 package is not cheap, so this phone is not the best for those who need to watch their budget. Features 3.5", 640 x 360 pixel touchscreen QWERTY keyboard WiFi Bluetooth HSDPA A-GPS 3.5 mm headjack 32GB onboard memory microSD expansion 1.5 days ...
